Sultanahmet suits a first historic visit; Karaköy and Galata connect well with evenings; Kadıköy suits local food and neighbourhood life. A cheaper distant room can cost more in time and transfers.
Consider both town and transfers
Göreme is central for many tours, Uçhisar is quieter with views, and Ürgüp is another balanced base. Check stairs, heating and air-conditioning: “cave hotel” describes a style, not a comfort guarantee.
City stay or resort?
