Editable 7-day and 10-day travel itinerary template
Turn ideas and bookings into a clear daily plan. Choose your duration, organise morning, afternoon and evening activities, and note transport, bookings and budgets. Export your plan or print it when you are ready. The planner does not submit a booking request to our team.
DAY 01A relaxed arrivalA flexible plan, not a sightseeing race
Why use a template?
Balance time and energy, not just the number of sights
A list of attractions rarely shows whether travelling between two activities is practical for a family, a couple or an older traveller. This template helps you see the whole day: arrival, transfers, the main activity, meals, a delay buffer and your return.
Enter only what helps you follow the plan. Do not include passport or card numbers, identity documents or health information. Keep sensitive documents separately and use short booking descriptions and general addresses here.

Build your daily plan step by step

How to use it
Five steps to keep the itinerary manageable
01
Start with fixed commitments
Enter arrival, departure and bookings that cannot move. Avoid an important activity straight after a long flight or before an early departure.
02
Group nearby places
Visit sights in the same neighbourhood on the same day. Allow door-to-door travel time, not just the distance on a map.
03
Leave room around the main activity
Families and slower-paced trips need time for food and rest. Allow a buffer for delays, queues and weather between timed bookings.
04
Write a backup plan
For a beach, mountain or weather-dependent day, choose an indoor alternative that is easy to arrange.
05
Export a final copy
Use TXT for reading, CSV for a spreadsheet, or your browser’s print dialog for PDF. Share a short version with your companions and keep sensitive documents separate.
Plan checks
Check these six areas before finalising your itinerary
The template organises your notes; it cannot verify roads, travellers’ needs or booking conditions. Check current information and adjust the plan before relying on it.
01
Arrival day
Allow for passport control, baggage collection, the transfer and hotel check-in. Keep your first activity nearby and flexible. Avoid a non-refundable timed ticket immediately after a flight. For a late arrival, focus on food and sleep, with the hotel address and transfer arranged beforehand.
02
Departure day
Work backwards from the time you need to be at the airport, allowing for transfers, check-out and traffic. Avoid distant attractions that morning. Check baggage allowance, flight status, payment arrangements and who is providing the vehicle.
03
Changing cities
A two-hour train journey also involves check-out, reaching the station, waiting, baggage handling, arrival and check-in. A light activity may be enough afterwards. On a seven-day trip, fewer hotels can mean less time spent moving luggage.
04
Fixed bookings
Put the booking time, location and cancellation deadline beside the relevant day. Use a short, non-sensitive reference only, never a passport or card number. Place fixed activities first, then add flexible options that can be dropped without a financial loss.
05
Weather and energy
Check forecasts before travelling and close to each activity day, and note an indoor alternative. After a long journey, or when travelling with children or older companions, plan a lighter day. A workable itinerary should not depend on perfect weather and full energy every day.
06
Budget and inclusions
Daily costs include transport, food, booking fees and taxes, not just tickets. Keep personal shopping separate so the operating costs remain clear. Compare the sum of daily budgets with your target, and retain a contingency rather than allocating every riyal.
Worked example
Seven balanced days in Istanbul
Load a worked example to see a relaxed arrival, Sultanahmet, the Bosphorus, the Asian side, a flexible family day, planned shopping and departure. It demonstrates the level of detail, not a bookable package. Its budget figures are illustrative, not current prices. Replace the example with your actual trip.

Export and print
Choose a format you will use
TXT for reading and sharing
Creates an English text file with the destination, days and details. Read it on your phone or in a notes app without spreadsheet software.
CSV for spreadsheets
Creates a row per day, with columns for activities, transport, bookings and budgets. Values beginning with common formula characters are escaped to reduce spreadsheet formula-injection risks.
PDF through printing
The print action hides editing controls and includes only selected days. Choose Save as PDF in your browser’s dialog. Check the preview because paper settings and browser behaviour vary.
Your planning notes
Local saving is optional
Save on this device stores the itinerary in this browser’s local storage only when you choose that action. Start again clears the fields and the saved plan after confirmation. Editing or saving the itinerary does not send a booking request to our team. Site analytics may measure interactions; local saving is not a promise that the site has no tracking.
Do not enter passport or card numbers, identity documents or health information. Someone with access to the device or exported file may see your notes. Store sensitive documents separately in a trusted document or password manager.
A practical planning tool
Keep time, transport and bookings separate
Clear daily time slots make crowded schedules, transfer time, advance bookings and alternatives easier to spot. Use the template for a city break, family holiday or multi-area route, then check the real arrangements before finalising your plan.
What is the difference between the 7-day and 10-day templates?+
Both use the same template. Choosing 7 days hides days 8–10 from the screen, exports and printing. You can switch back to 10 days without losing the extra days during the same session.
Is the itinerary template free?+
Yes. You can edit your plan, export TXT or CSV, and print or save a PDF without registration, an email address or payment.
Does True Travel save my itinerary?+
The planner does not submit a travel enquiry to our team. Its optional Save button stores the plan in this browser on this device. Start again deletes that saved plan after confirmation. Site analytics may measure interactions; do not enter sensitive information.
Can I use the itinerary template on a phone?+
Yes. The fields and cards adapt to small screens, although editing a long itinerary may be easier on a larger device. File downloads depend on your mobile browser’s support.
How do I save the itinerary as a PDF?+
Choose Print or save PDF, then select Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialog. Only the selected days are included; editing controls are hidden. Check the print preview before saving.
Can I open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets?+
Yes. The file uses UTF-8 with a byte-order mark. Check the columns and import separator in your spreadsheet settings, and keep sensitive information out of the cells.
