Do Saudi citizens need a visa for Türkiye?
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs currently lists holders of ordinary and official Saudi passports as visa-exempt for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Count previous stays in the same rolling period. This exemption does not automatically apply to every person who lives in Saudi Arabia.

Which passport?
Use the nationality and category of the travel document presented at the border—not Saudi residence, a booking nationality field or another family member’s result.
Why are you travelling?
Short tourism, work, study and residence can follow different routes. Do not use a short-visit exemption to infer permission for another purpose.
How long, including earlier stays?
Count the full intended stay and earlier days in the applicable rolling period. Transit and consecutive destinations can change the calculation.
Passport validity
Understand the “stay plus 60 days” rule
Türkiye’s general visa guidance says a travel document must remain valid for at least 60 days beyond the duration of the visa, e-Visa, visa exemption or residence permit. The MFA also recommends that passports be valid for six months from arrival. These statements are not interchangeable: check the rule that applies to your stay and leave a sensible margin for airline checks and itinerary changes.
Before booking: make sure the passport used for the ticket and any visa application is the same document you will present. A renewed passport can change the document number linked to an application.

Turkish migration guidance lists adequate means and valid health cover among points that may be assessed. Check what applies to your route.
Previous stays and compliance
Count earlier days within any rolling stay limit. Resolve a past overstay, fine or entry restriction with the responsible authority before booking.
No paper checklist guarantees admission. Authorities assess each traveller's documents and circumstances; an airline may also check documents before boarding.
Separate border journeys
Türkiye eligibility and Saudi return are two different checks
For residents returning to Saudi Arabia, confirm the current residence and exit/re-entry record on the official Saudi service. Do that separately from the Turkish entry check: one document does not replace the other. If your stay, employment or residence status has changed, ask the responsible authority before travel rather than relying on a general article.
Travelling together
Children and family members need their own checks
A child’s place on a hotel or flight booking does not replace their own passport and eligibility check. Review document validity, the traveller’s nationality and any consent or supporting-document rules that apply to the family’s circumstances. Where an e-Visa is required, use the official portal’s instructions for each traveller, including children.
One parent or another accompanying adult
Ask the airline and relevant authorities which consent documents are required for your exact route. Requirements can depend on nationality, guardianship and transit.
Mixed-nationality group
Keep a simple checklist by passport holder. One person’s visa-free status does not determine the status of a spouse, child or friend.

Recheck after choosing travel dates, before any non-refundable payment, after renewing a passport or changing a connection, and close to departure. Government rules and carrier checks can change; an old screenshot is not a current approval.

“Everyone living in Saudi Arabia is exempt.” The Turkish visa table is based on the traveller’s passport nationality and category.
“The 90 days reset after a short exit.” The published limit is within a 180-day period; count previous stays.
“An exemption guarantees admission.” Authorities still assess the applicable entry conditions and documents.

Yes. Check each child’s own travel document and eligibility. The official e-Visa portal says each traveller needs a separate e-Visa, including infants and children, when an e-Visa applies.
Does visa-free travel guarantee entry?
No. Visa status is only one requirement. Border authorities make the admission decision and may assess the traveller’s documents and circumstances.
Is travel medical insurance required?
The Turkish MFA says visa applicants must have medical insurance valid for their stay. That application guidance does not by itself establish a blanket rule for every visa-exempt visitor, so check the current official requirements for your own route and consider suitable travel cover.
What should a Saudi resident check before returning?
Check the current Saudi residence and exit/re-entry record through the responsible official Saudi service. This is separate from permission to enter Türkiye.
Can I use a Turkish e-Visa for work or study?
No. The official e-Visa portal describes e-Visas as valid for touristic and trade purposes. Work, study or residence requires the route that matches that purpose.
When should I check the entry rules again?
Recheck before committing to non-refundable travel, after any passport or itinerary change, and close to departure using the official government pages and carrier guidance.
