DESTINATION DISPATCH · Planning reference: 26 August 2026
Compare destinations by budget and season
Choose your travel month, spending ceiling and trip style, then narrow 11 destinations to three. See the reasons and reservations behind each suggestion, and download or print your comparison without registering.
Before comparing
A shortlist, not a booking
The matrix uses planning ranges published in True Travel's destination guides. They include economy flights, accommodation, food, transport and basic activities for two people. Reference stays vary from six to nine nights according to the destination, so these ranges indicate suitability rather than the price of identical travel products.
Seasonal suitability has three levels: Generally favourable, Can be planned and Needs caution. A level is not a forecast for your dates and does not account for entry requirements, availability or events. After shortlisting, read each destination's cost and season guides and replace the assumptions with current quotations.

An example you can check
September + SAR 18,000 + nature + one week
A practical budget and short route between Baku and one region. Reservation: do not squeeze Gabala, Sheki and Quba all into one week.
Its reference range sits within the ceiling, and September suits the model's nature and week-long priorities. Reservation: mountain days need a near-date forecast and a backup plan.
Nature and historic cities across six or seven nights, with a lower practical starting budget. Reservation: car hire and rural routes can increase the total.
This illustrates the tool's default ranking, not a guarantee that these destinations will be cheapest on your dates. Flight prices can change the comparison entirely.

The values below are August 2026 planning references in Saudi riyals, not live quotations. Each range combines the published practical and comfortable budgets for two people. Reference nights are shown so that a week is not mistaken for a nine-night trip.
Resources marked “Arabic” open Arabic guides; the remaining linked guides are in English.

Reading the result
Points rank suitability, not a country's quality
Season
A generally favourable month receives 3 points, a plannable month 2 and a caution month 1, multiplied by 4. Countries such as Vietnam and Thailand cannot be reduced to one climate; read the regional reservation.
Budget
A ceiling covering the full range receives 3 points; one within the range receives 2; one below the practical minimum receives 0. Multiply by 3. A partial fit still needs current pricing.
Style
Your main priority — beach, nature, culture, family or food — receives 2 points when it matches a destination's listed strengths, otherwise 0. Multiply by 2. An available activity is not necessarily the best reason to choose a destination.
Duration
A matching duration receives 1 point, otherwise 0. Multiply by 1. A distant destination may not suit a short break even with sufficient budget; compressing or extending the reference route requires care.
Maximum model score: 26 points. Ties favour the lower practical budget; remaining ties follow the matrix order. The ranking uses these four choices, not an individual browsing history. You can depart from it when you have another priority.
After shortlisting
Turn a suggestion into a fair quotation comparison
Download CSV or print the sheet, then read the three destinations' cost and season guides. Use the same departure city, dates, nights, room and baggage. Enter current flight and hotel prices in the travel budget calculator. If an assumption changes, rerun this matrix rather than keeping an old ranking.
Once you have one or two destinations, use the trip planning brief to organise travellers, pace and priorities. Do not add passport numbers or payment details to the downloaded file; the comparison does not need them.
Data and practical limits
A local comparison, not a contact form
No account or contact fields
The comparison calculation runs in the browser. There are no name, phone or email fields, and choices are not added to the page address. Site analytics are separate from the comparison calculation; see the site's privacy information.
A simple download
CSV contains destination names and comparison signals. Review it before sharing and do not add personal, financial or identity-document information.
Check current conditions
The displayed reference date applies to the planning matrix. Near-date weather, prices and entry requirements still need checking for your travel dates; the matrix is not a live availability service.
The calculation and values are shown so you can understand, question or override the ranking when your priorities differ. Prepared by True Travel's trip planning team.
